Some companies use social networks, such as My Space and Facebook, as a way to advertise their companies. This seems to be a good idea at first, but there have been some cases where it has turned into bad publicity, as it is the case of British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. As a result, this way of advertising can cause positive or negative consequences on the image of the firm: on the positive side, it is a way of developing the product awareness, or even for example in facebook or teens webs there much more people who are going to watch it more than somewhere else because it is so much cheaper but on the other hand, there may be people who post negative comments about some aspects of the company thay may affect the loyality of that company
In conclusion people should be care about the publicity they upload and how they aimed that publicity.
