Banking 3890

1. What is the URL?

I tried to find a british banking website, and finally I chose the multinational company HSBC :

2. Who is it aimed at?

HSBC offers a full range of personal financial services, including current and savings accounts, mortgage loans, car financing, insurance, credit cards, loans, pensions and investments. Actually this website is aimed to any potential customer interested by one of those services.

3. What can they do there?

By this website, you can find all the information you can need about those services, without having to move yourself to a bank office. Besides, if you are already registered in HSBC bank, you can access to an home banking page, and manage your accounts like doing banking transactions online or just checking your balance.

4. What type of content does it contains?

The home page contains links shared out on the top of the page whiches drive the customer to all the information he could be looking for. In the middle of the page, there is bigger links done as advertising for new products or flagship services. On the right side, the customer also has an access to is own account.

5.Did you find anything surprising/especially interesting?

This website is clerverly done, it directly guides your attention to the emphasised products. I especially focused on one of them. All the website is red and blue except one green link : as a consequence, it is the first thing you see, but the fact is that I felt happy to be had because the link was about "going green with HSBC".
For me it is important to be conscient of our environment, and in my opinion this kind of act from this kind of company has two positive consequences : On one hand, it avoids to waste and keeps safer the ecosystem.
On the second hand (and it is the most important) it shows to everyone all around the world (thanks to the worldwide fame and action of the company) the right way to be, to think, and above all, to act. It is just a small link, but with a huge power to affect the customers.
